Did we need Sonya's lame fight club chapter over resolution for Bi-Han? I hate that Noob Saibot was brought back just to be a useless jobber. Kotal is clowned on once again, he got a shit romance and is racist now.Īnd then there is Kronika. NRS needs to stop pretending the SF are relevant in way, shape or form. (Though Aftermath did a much better job at handling him) Older Jax was the only dynamic character and his arc was just.there. Not to mention their chapters are devoid of emotions or stakes. Sonya's own chapter with Kano? Like what point did that serve? Jacqui and Jax? Both useless, Cetrion got the crown anyways. Sonya's death and Netherrealm palace fall? All undone in the next chapter. Like any chapter with Special Forces characters are irrelevant. Nope instead we get time travel nonsense that retcons half the story. 11 Could seriously been a game where this time ER invades NR and they must when the MK tournament to decide the fate of NR. They could have easily stuck with Dark Raiden using Earth Realm to invade and conquer realms. It still shows me that as all other IPs that use Time Travel where it wasn't that prevalent before, that once u need that route you have 0 ideas left. Yes I know they killed off characters that came back, but that is why MK has the Netherrealm, it the point where you don't need an explanation on why they come back. The previous game's story though annoyed with that as well, was a solid start to finish story line that had a natural lead in on the 11th game. MK is not DC and Marvel, it doesn't need crazy time travel shenanigans.
Yes I get that Raiden sent a message through time in MK9, that was a message, not a ridiculous merging of multiple universes.
